Committee members will work closely with the board which consists of 4 IBCoM students. For this role, the position requires the person to be motivated as well as a leader in terms of acting as the figure which people in the committee can rely on in problem situations and solving them accordingly. Their task will consist of making sure everything is done on time and if not done on time, take it upon them to meet the deadline.
This position is essentially the aid to the chairman and also plays a large role in the board. The secretary will be in charge of arranging meetings both internally and externally. He/she will also assist in meetings in the event that the chairman will not be able to attend and well as keep everyone up to date with progress within the organization. In addition, he/she will supervise the events that are taking place and make sure that everything goes accordingly and will take any issues up with the chairman and the rest of the board.
PR & Marketing:
The position of the PR & Marketing Manager entails the responsibility for managing the organization’s public image through organizing various events, advertising, sponsorship and implementation of marketing strategies and communications. He/she will need to closely supervise the mission of the organization as well as the demand of the public in order to determine how the organization may need to expand or reposition itself to be most effective in reaching the audience. The position also includes being involved in the social media aspect of the organization by keeping and expanding its image through various social platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, etc.
Numbers and finance are some of your assets? Then the Treasurer position is the right one for you. Some of the responsibilities include closely monitoring the financial condition of the organization, properly maintaining the financial records and procedures (e.g. supervising bank accounts and transactions) and notify the other Board and general members about the organization’s current financial situation. Furthermore, the Treasurer will be actively assisting in the preparation of the budget, proposal letters for potential sponsors as well as meetings with such.
